Summit Strategies Government Affairs Expands Team
Washington, D.C. – August 12, 2015 – Summit Strategies Government Affairs, LLC announced today the opening of a permanent office in Portland, Oregon, as the firm continues to expand its presence in the Pacific Northwest and grow its state operations.
Kristine Phillips Evertz, who joins Summit Strategies’ growing West Coast office brings with her over 15 years of legislative, campaign development, and finance experience in the public and private sector. Most recently serving as Government Relations Representative for Knowledge Universe, Ms. Evertz coordinated grassroots and direct lobbying in 17 western states on child care and early childhood education issues. Ms. Evertz’s professional portfolio will focus primarily on the Oregon state legislature, and local and regional projects.

Ms. Evertz is an Executive Board Member of Children First for Oregon, and has served on the Public Policy Advisory Committee of Start Making a Reader Today (SMART) in Portland, Oregon. She holds a MA in American Government from the School of Public Affairs at American University, Washington, D.C. and a BA in Political Science from Kalamazoo College, Kalamazoo, Michigan.
