Summit Strategies Partner Jim Kolb Appointed to NVTA by Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe

On Friday, July 15 Summit Strategies Partner Jim Kolb was appointed by Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe to serve on the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority (NVTA). The Governor is required to select one representative with significant experience in transportation planning, finance, engineering, construction, or management who resides in a county or city embraced by the Authority outside of the Commonwealth Transportation Board. Mr. Kolb will serve as a voting board member of NVTA helping to shape the region’s transportation future, and will sit on one of the Authority’s five committees. The Northern Virginia Transportation Authority (NVTA) is the transportation planning, programming and funding organization for the nine jurisdictions that make up Northern Virginia and is responsible for developing and updating the region’s long range transportation plan, TransAction 2040.
