Inéz Nieves supports the lobbying team at Summit Strategies from Washington, DC. As a Legislative Assistant, she monitors federal legislation, handles client scheduling, and focuses on city government issues.
Her experience in politics spans both private and public sectors, including nonprofit and federal agency work. She most recently interned for Senator Jeff Merkley, after joining Oxley and Associates for the 2025 Oregon legislative session.
Inéz graduated from Willamette University with a degree in politics and history, as well as a minor in English. She earned multiple distinctions for promising undergraduate research, including the Karen Wyckoff Award in Politics, Phil Hanni Student Scholarship, and Willamette’s Carson Grant.
In her free time, she enjoys being with her family, exploring the capital’s coffee shops, going to the movies, and reading books of all genres.
