Jake Oken-Berg brings two decades of political and policy experience at the federal, state, and local level to the Summit Strategies team including positions with United States Senators Jeff Merkley and Ron Wyden.
Most recently, Jake was senior business advisor for Senator Merkley serving as the Senator’s liaison to the business community and working on a wide range of issues including trade, manufacturing, health care, transportation, agriculture, and appropriations.
Previously, Jake worked at the Oregon Business Council and helped launch the Oregon Business Plan, bringing together business, government, and nonprofit leaders on a shared agenda for creating jobs, raising incomes, and reducing poverty. Following that effort, Jake served as special assistant to Senator Wyden, coordinating the Senator’s outreach to business and industry.
Jake enjoys running, hiking, skiing, playing piano, and taking care of his two rescue dogs with his wife Maggie.
